Los Angeles hosts music event

The Los Angeles Philharmonic, also known as the LA Phil, presents a special Power to the People! production conducted by Grammy-award winner Gustavo Dudamel next month.

The Power to the People Festival showcases the many artists and experts on social changes that have played a pivotal role in humanitarian causes and civil rights. The concert brings to light the injustices faced by people all over the world and encourages those in power to act.

Gustavo Dudamel is the Music & Artistic Director of the LA Phil and he believes that music can inspire and change people’s lives. Dudamel will lead the Afro-American Symphony, composed by William Grant Still Jr. The program will also feature performances from J’Nai Bridges and Angelica Negron.

Tickets range from $63 to $214. Individuals from other cities in Los Angeles County, such as Long Beach, California, may be in attendance at events such as these. All will be required to wear masks and provide proof of full vaccination.
