The Autumn Festival is taking place for one weekend this month in Long Beach, and is a celebration of Asian culture.
There are many events planned for the weekend. These include teapot balancing, changing faces, children's storytelling, and Japanese Taiko drumming performances. Arthur Nakane will be performing his one-man-band show and there will be Japanese folk dancing. In addition, exhibitors such as Kimekomi Dolls, DK Ornaments and Things and East West Discovery Press are set to showcase their products. Local community organizations will also be providing information about their programs.
For the children, there will be crafts like origami and making fish kites. Cafe Scuba will also be serving Asian-themed dishes.
Another event taking place during the festival is the Heritage Award presentation from the Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California.
The organizers of the festival may have decided to contact Long Beach brochure printers to advertise this event. The Brochures could then be mailed out to all residents or displayed at various public buildings.
The Autumn Festival will be held at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach from November 7 to 8. Admission to the Aquarium is $28.95 for adults, $25.95 for seniors and $14.95 for children between the ages of 3 and 11; the festival is free with admission.
