A restaurant in Long Beach is celebrating Oktoberfest with a special menu and a variety of German beers.
Yard House's Long Beach location is in Shoreline Village, and will be serving Bavarian-style dishes for four weeks, as well as pouring various German beers. Special menu items include Chicken Schnitzel served with Potato Salad, which is a traditional dish comprising chicken pounded until very thin, then breaded and fried. The chicken is served with a potato salad including green onion and bacon.
Also available is the Stacked Oktoberfest Burger, a double-beef hamburger served on a pretzel roll, and topped with Swiss cheese, grilled onion, tomato, arugula, Dijon mustard, and bacon-tomato jam. Bavarian pork chops are also on the menu—a double chop served with a sauce made from wild mushrooms. The pork chops are served with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli.
The Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel is, as it sounds, a pretzel served with a sauce made with beer, cheese, and horseradish mustard. There's also a special pizza known as a Flammkuchen. The dish comes from Southern Germany, and is both savory and sweet, featuring caramelized onions, bacon, and a blend of three cheeses: Parmesan, mozzarella, and Swiss.
Featured beers are Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn, Weihenstephan Fest, Sierra Nevada Marzen, Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen, and Sam Adams Octoberfest. The special event is on now, and runs until late October. Banner printing can be used to provide great decorations for events like this.
