Long Beach Howlidays party to help companion animals
Long Beach Animal Care Services wants everyone to have a happy festive season, and to help make it brighter for companion animals in need, it will be running a donation drive later this year.
The organization has made arrangements to welcome the community for its second annual Howlidays Wrap-Up Adoption Event and donation drive, and to make it easier for community members to find a new furry friend, adoption fees will be waived. Pets should be left at home as only human guests can be accommodated, and the festivities will run for two hours.
The party will see holiday music build a festive atmosphere, and there will be raffles and prize draws. Santa will be on hand for photo ops, and each guest can decorate an ornament to hang on the tree or keep as memento. Donations of non-perishable pet foods and supplies will be appreciated, and ugly sweaters will be the order of the day.
