Long Beach goes with the music
The Long Beach Bayou and Blues Festival is celebrating its 28th year of presenting a weekend filled with fun and music.
The festival combines The Louisiana Bayou and New Orleans culture with the free-spirited life in this popular California city. It will offer cultural music famous in the Bayou Country. One of the special features will be the Creole and Cajun cuisine, affording visitors the opportunity to enjoy authentic dishes like those found in the Big Easy in the Louisiana region.
Music is a highlight for this festival, with zydeco, Cajun, and blues artists performing throughout. The New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band will lead the music festivities, and the traditional music can be enjoyed on the dance floors provided as well.
Bringing the French Quarter to Long Beach, visitors can enjoy arts, crafts, and food specialties throughout the weekend. Combined with a Mardi Gras presence, the event transports guests to Bourbon Street.
Vendors will offer souvenirs, clothing, and other treasures. Normally, a festival will contract with local print companies to prepare materials needed, such as flyers, posters, and banners. Banner printing is a frequent request by vendors so they can display them in the booth space and depict their company names and logos.
The Long Beach Bayou and Blues Festival will be held this weekend, June 21 and 22. Visit the website for full details.
