Long Beach festival to feature world wines
Long Beach will soon be playing host to an event that may put a smile on the face of every wine lover who includes it in their early summer plans.
The 18th annual LAWineFest is on the way for the Harry Bridges Memorial Park in Long Beach, and if last year's instalment is any indication, it may well attract a crowd that numbers in the thousands. The wine will be joined by a variety of other beverages, and the venue for the function is located right next to the Queen Mary.
The plans for the occasion will see wines from all over the world featured, and there will be unlimited tastings. The crowd can meet the makers, speak with sommeliers and taste-test the beverages that catch their interest. Food, entertainment, and artisan boutique-style shopping will round out the experience. Ticketholders may even decide to reserve a room at one of the nearby lodging establishments.
Each attendee will receive a tasting cup featuring a specially prepared graphic design, and tastings of the beer, wine, and water. It will take place over two days, and while there may be passes available at the gate, those who are interested may want to purchase theirs online ahead of time.
This year's LAWineFest will take place on June 3 and 4. Both general admission and VIP passes are on offer, starting at $100.
