Locals to dive into scuba show
Long Beach will host the 2015 Scuba Show at the Long Beach Convention Center in the summer. The largest of its kind in America, it is now celebrating its 28th year.
With over 76,000 square feet of exhibit space, there will be more than 300 exhibitors, along with a full schedule of activities. Seminars are a huge part of the excitement and include topics such as marine life, diving physiology, adventure, history, and underwater photography. Other seminars include dive spots locally, seafood preparation, and foreign travel.
Many of the seminars are free to the public, while others require a seminar pass. Some are dive companies with product promotion or agency member updates. The show organizers are currently accepting presenter proposals for consideration.
Door prizes will be available, totaling over $29,000. Each person purchasing an exhibit hall ticket will receive a prize entry to be placed in the container at the entry desk.
Participants can win cash by submitting dive footage in the 2015 film fest. Last year, dozens of films were submitted and even more are expected in the upcoming event.
Local print companies are available to provide materials such as poster printing, flyers, banners, and programs.
The 2015 Scuba Show will take place June 6-7. Complete information is available via the scuba show website, including vendor and sponsor opportunities. Show swag items can also be viewed online.
