The 12th annual Grape Expectations fundraiser is taking place very soon. A fundraiser for the Long Beach Public Library Foundation, it is presented in association with the Port of Long Beach.
This year's event is celebrating the publication of ‘Port Town’ by George and Carmela Cunningham. The book is about the history of Long Beach and how the port contributed to its growth. Everyone who attends the event will receive a leatherette bound collector's edition of the book. Guests will also enjoy a gourmet meal to be prepared by Chef Joachim Wentz, which will be paired with an appropriate wine.
There will also be an auction that has the theme of ‘The Seven Continents’, for which items were donated by local businesses and individuals.
Sponsorships are also available from $2,500 up to $15,000. Prior to June, local businesses were able to purchase advertising space in the program booklet.
Part of the advertising for this event was the Mailing out of Invitations in February. It is likely that a Long Beach printing company provided these and the program guide that everyone who attends will receive.
