Chance to chill at the Queen Mary
The Queen Mary will turn into a deep freeze this winter, when ‘CHILL’ takes over in Long Beach.
The large dome at the venue will be frozen over and turned into a giant igloo. It will then become home to The Ice Kingdom. The exhibit will feature ice creations towering over two and half stories in height, and using more than two million pounds of ice. Temperatures will drop to 9° in the igloo, so attendees are encouraged to wear very warm coats, along with gloves.
Other activities will be included at The Ice Kingdom, including ice tubing, ice skating, holiday caroling, and live music.
The Queen Mary has a rich history prior to retiring in 1967 after the final cruise arrived in Long Beach. It is now a floating hotel and attraction venue. Special events such as The Ice Kingdom, along with weddings and other group gatherings, regularly take place on the historic vessel.
Postcard printing is a common request by many venues that host events. The postcards can be given out to attendees or sold in gift shops or at point of sale outlets. When printed in full color, they make an effective promotional piece or souvenir.
CHILL will take place on several dates, including November 21-30, December 2-7, December 9-January 4, and January 8-11. The Queen Mary website has full information and ticket sales for The Ice Kingdom event.
