This was the third year that The Jewelry Box hosted the in-store fundraising activity, which consisted of raffles and a silent auction. The Jewelry Box donated over 25 pieces of jewelry for the auction and also supplied raffle prizes. The two-hour fundraising event, which took place on October 18 at the store, also included drinks and other refreshments provided by the store.
Christine Anzell, who owns The Jewelry Box, stated:
"Holding this event for Breast Cancer Solutions is a way that we can truly affect someone's life that lives in our community. When searching for a breast cancer organization to support, we chose Breast Cancer Solutions because they are a local provider helping people in our community get access to treatment for breast cancer. We started with nothing, and now we feel like locals helping locals."
Fundraising activities and events in support of community organizations or other charities typically raise awareness about the event through poster printing and flyer printing. In some instances, brochure printers might also be used to provide attendees with information about the organization and the cause for which the fundraiser is being held.
