Special summer festival comes to Lake Forest area

The annual Sawdust Art and Crafts Festival is currently underway in Laguna Beach.

Residents of nearby Lake Forest may be interested in this festival, as they will be able to attend the festival at no charge between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 pm.

Located on Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach, the festival will feature the work of 168 artists from Laguna Beach. These artists will have a variety of media including photography, glass, jewelry, painting, and ceramics.

There will be three stages for entertainment that will have live music every day. Among the artists will be The Cliff Drive Band, the Traveling Homeboys, the Mad Scientist Project, and Paul Jackson. Schedules of such performances and their locations can be made available to attendees with flyer printing. There will also be roaming acts throughout the festival that will feature magic shows, balloon artistry, and acoustic guitars.

Seven options for dining will also be available. The Sawdust Saloon will be serving craft beer and wine as well as non-alcoholic beer and other beverages. Scoops on Tap will be offering ice cream made with local craft beer and plant-based delights. Fran’s Popcorn will be serving fresh popcorn, ice cream, candies, and frozen treats. Other dining choices will include Evan’s Gourmet, Taco’s Durrell, Espresso on the Go, and GG’s Mediterranean.

The Sawdust Art and Crafts Festival runs through Sunday, August 28.
