Grocery Outlet Bargain Market recently opened a new supermarket in Lake Forest, celebrating the occasion with prizes, games, and savings. About 30 new employees were hired for the so-called “extreme value” supermarket.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held and officiated by the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce. Taste Catering Café provided lunch after the ceremony with a $10 minimum purchase.
Several donations were given out including the Canned Food Drive of El Toro High School ASB, which received $1,000, and Grocery Outlet Gift Cards worth $1,000 went to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
There will be a larger grand-opening celebration that will run from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm this Saturday, December 9. Those in line who are the first 100 customers will receive 25% off coupons that they can redeem in the store that day.
For the first 500 customers, reusable, eco-friendly Bags will be given. All customers coming in on that day can also enter for a chance to win the grand prize, which is free groceries for a year. Other activities will include a free balloon twister and a free spin and win on the Wheel of Bargains.
