Senior affordable housing in Lake Forest opens waiting list

Seniors may now put their names forward for the new affordable apartment units at the Meadows residential community in Lake Forest.

There are 65 units available in total, 52 of them with one bedroom and 13 with two bedrooms. Each unit has central heating, air-conditioning, and a refrigerator.

The residential community will feature a community room with a kitchen, a barbeque pavilion, a laundry and leasing office on site, outdoor open space, and a pickleball court. It is close to the community park public parks, the Serrano Creek Regional Trail system, the Lake Forest Senior Center and Performing Arts Center, public transport, an urgent care clinic, and retail establishments, including a grocery store.

Such new residential communities often turn to brochure printing to provide more details on their features, amenities, and requirements for application.

Officials from Lake Forest say the Meadows will provide a safe, affordable, and high-quality living environment for seniors that will be close to many amenities in Lake Forest. Only people 62 years of age and older will be able to live in the community and they need to meet the requirements of annual income, which are based on a percentage of the median income in Orange County.

The residential community does not yet have an exact expected completed date, but it is likely to be in the fall.
