Oakley hosts Team Kids fundraiser in Lake Forest

The high-tech eyewear and Apparel manufacturer Oakley recently held its third annual fundraiser, Team Kids Innovative Thinkers Forum, at its Interplanetary Headquarters in Lake Forest.

On October 22, global executives came together to hash out such topics of common interest as building iconic brands, innovation, and how to implement strategies to ensure a business prospers. The event was opened by Jeremy Renner, a two-time Academy Award nominee, who later took part in a panel discussion on “How to be an Innovator”.

Attendees were able to enjoy a private reception and business mixer, where executives likely traded Premium Business Cards and discussed their business endeavors. Following the mixer, the event saw a fundraiser, where over $160,000 was raised for Team Kids, and a panel discussion held.

Included with Renner on the panel were Jeanne Holm, chief knowledge architect from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory; Nathan Harding, Ekso Bionics’ CEO and co-founder; and Colin Baden, Oakley CEO.

Prior to going inside, guests were invited to browse the Student Innovation Expo, which was held in front of the company’s Interplanetary Headquarters from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Following the forum, a half hour Q & A session was followed by Portola Coffee & A La Minute Ice Cream from 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm where undoubtedly more Business Cards changed hands.
