The state’s first drive-through version of Dunkin’ Donuts recently opened in Lake Forest.
The menu of doughnuts, coffee, and other beverages will be the same as offered inside the eatery. This is one of 30 such locations across the country.
The company commented in a statement that the reason why Dunkin’ Donuts selected Lake Forest is that it wants innovative and effective ways to bring its products to its customers. Real estate is at a premium in Lake Forest, so having the drive-through, which uses only a small percent of the land used by one of its regular restaurants, allows the chain bring its offerings to its customers when and where they are in need of them.
Nearby, a memorabilia store created with children in mind, Kids Rule Sports, recently opened at The Shops at Mission Viejo. Owner Stan Bruckheim said the store is a result of his passion over the past 30 years for collecting sports memorabilia.
The focus of the store will be on items from local teams, including the Dodgers and Angels, Clippers and Lakers, and Chargers and Rams, among others.
