Locals set to explore technology and art

A workshop on ‘Exploring the World of Mobility’ will help consumers and business people to decide just what technology they need to have available at their fingertips in the modern world.

The workshop begins at noon on Friday, July 19, at the Creative Resources Technology Group, 151 Kalmus Drive in Costa Mesa, just a few minutes from Lake Forest.

It will deal specifically with the iOS Apple devices and the Apple Profile Manager. Engineers for the company will demonstrate different components of the Profile Manager and how they can work for businesses today.

They will also explain how to use multiple profiles to manage multiple devices at the same time. Security features will also be covered, along with how to utilize the remote lock and wipe features. For more information on the session, call (714) 881-8000.

After developing the technical side of the brain, locals can explore the creative side of the brain by observing a painting for one hour with author Peter Clothier at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach.

Clothier is a widely published writer and observer of contemporary art. He will demonstrate a variety of techniques used to observe paintings, such as refreshing the eyes (which involves alternately opening and closing the eyes), closed eye breath meditation, and relaxation.

Participants can bring the world of art into their own homes by purchasing reprints of famous works from local printing companies.
