National Clean Up Day will take place in Lake Forest next month with a Clean Lake Forest event.
Clean Lake Forest is an initiative driven by the community to improve the city’s aesthetics by cleaning public spaces, streets, and parks by removing graffiti and litter. The goal is to beautify and unify the city by helping with clean-up projects in communities that engage local business, residents, civic leaders, and non-profit organizations. Such community-driven events are often promoted throughout a city with flyer printing.
The event will start and end at Pittsford Park. Volunteers can sign up for cleaning up the city park, the city trail, or the city streets. Individuals, families, groups, teams, and clubs are encouraged to participate in this clean-up day.
Those who volunteer for the event are asked to come to the park at the start of the event to sign in, pick up supplies, and attend opening remarks. Volunteers will be given hand sanitizer, trash Bags and pickers, and gloves and then drive to their respective locations. They will return to the park at the end of the event for certificates, closing remarks, and other day-of-event surprises.
Clean Lake Forest will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 18. The inaugural Clean Lake Forest event took place on Saturday May 22.
