Lake Forest to hold summer acting class

“Yes! You Can Act!,” a class for adults, will be held in Lake Forest beginning next month.

To be taught by Pamela Peak, an Emmy-nominated director and producer, this class will teach the basics of great acting and about its foundation of improvisation. Attendees will learn how to feel more comfortable in front of a group or on stage and help them to more fully believe in themselves. Other areas to be covered will be how to play of another person and how to prepare emotionally and truthfully for any acting circumstance.

Poster printing is often used to advertise such classes throughout the community.

The class will be held outdoors on a comfortable patio with awnings as well as heaters for outdoor patios. The class size will be limited to enable attendees to celebrate the resuming of more normal activities and enjoy each other’s company again.

Peak has been successfully teaching businesspeople (such as lawyers and doctors) and everyday people (such as parents and grandparents from Orange County) on how to become professional actors. The class is also for those who have acted before but feel they need a refresher course.

The class will run from 6:30 to 9:00 pm and begin on Monday, July 13 with sessions to be held for eight Monday evenings. The price of the course is $247.50.
