Lake Forest to hold citywide clean-up

A community clean-up event will be held by Clean Lake Forest at the end of next month to beautify the roads, parks, and neighborhoods of the city.

Featured at the event will be volunteers combing through the parks and neighborhoods in the city to pick up litter. Volunteers can clean up streets, trails, or parks in the city.

Volunteers need to sign in at 8:00 am at Pittsford Park and then drive to the clean-up location for which they are registered. Volunteers will be supplied with gloves, trash pickers, and Bags. At the end of the event there will be closing remarks and other surprises of the day. More information about such events and how to sign up for them is often provided with flyer printing.

Clean Lake Forest is an initiative driven by the community designed to improve the aesthetics of the city by cleaning up streets, parks, and public spaces that may be filled with litter and graffiti. The goal is to beautify and unify Lake Forest, and to assist with grassroots clean-up projects in the community that engage civic leaders, local businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Sponsors of the event include the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, and Cuca’s Mexican Food.

The clean-up event will be from 8:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25.
