Lake Forest names new city manager

Debra Rosa was recently appointed as the new City Manager of the City of Lake Forest.

Rosa will be responsible for overseeing operations of the city on a daily basis, and for the general services to the community.

Mayor Scott Voigts commented that Rosa had the former City Manager Robert Dunek as her mentor and served on the Executive Management Team for the past 16 years. During this time, she has shown that she is committed, dedicated, and loves the city of Lake Forest.

There were over 30 applicants for the position, and the City Council supported her unanimously.

Council member Dr. Jim Gardner said that his intent was finding someone who would be committed to the city and its residents, and he saw this commitment evident with Rosa. Andrew Hamilton, another member of the council, echoed those feelings, noting that Rosa was the right choice. She has been the Interim City Manager over the past three months and has done an outstanding job, says Hamilton, who is certain she will continue to do so in the future in a permanent status.

The City of Lake Forest might consider hiring a printing company to create Flyers making the announcement and highlighting Rosa’s contributions to the City since she began working for her city in upper level management positions nearly two decades ago.
