The Lake Forest City Council gave its approval for a residential development to be built at the site of a former gravel mine.
On May 5, in a vote of 3-2, Council gave the go ahead for the conversion of 30 acres of commercial property at 28201 Rancho Parkway into 250 single-family and multifamily units.
The residential development, to be named Parkside at Baker Ranch, is to be built at a site used by El Toro Materials for sand and gravel mining and processing. El Tor operated the site from 1966 to 2010, and the site has most lately been used as a storage facility for equipment, vehicles, and materials used by construction and landscaping businesses.
Parkside at Barker Ranch is to be a gated community whose residents will have their own private streets. Details of the plan show that each acre will have 10 to 15 units for a total of 117 single-family units and 133 multifamily units. The property owner, Baker Ranch Properties, applied for and obtained the necessary zone changes, development agreements, and all other legal formalities necessary to get approval for the project. The company plans to sell the land to a residential developer who will complete the project.
As units are finished, a printing company will no doubt be engaged to produce colored Brochures to facilitate their sale.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
