Despite hot and humid weather, this year’s Taste of Lake Forest drew a large crowd and capped off the city’s Shop and Dine Week.
The Lake Forest business community’s weeklong promotion to encourage visitors and promote shopping in the city came to its conclusion on Sunday, September 14, with the Taste of Lake Forest. More than 20 local restaurants were on hand to provide samples to the 1,300 attendees.
Diners at the event were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite participating eatery and 300 of them elected to do so. First place went to Eleven46, a Foothill Ranch Vietnamese restaurant. Peppino’s Italian Family Restaurant took second place, and Lake Forest can both two of these restaurants. Third place was awarded to another Foothill Ranch establishment, Cinnamon Productions Bakery.
In addition to food, the afternoon event, which was held outside in Foothill Ranch Towne Centre, also provided entertainment and a chance to participate in several raffles.
Over 400 businesses participated in this year’s Shop and Dine Lake Forest Week, which began with a Super Saving Lunch Party at the Orchard Shopping Center from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm on September 7. A weeklong event such as this provides all participating businesses with multiple promotional opportunities, which a poster or flyer printing service can help them optimize.
