Dickey’s Barbecue Pit recently held a four-day long grand opening ceremony for its new restaurant in Lake Forest.
Dickey’s is based on the fast-casual concept, offering a selection of signature meats such as St. Louis style ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket, all smoked on-site; tangy barbecue sauce, and home style side dishes. Every meal includes buttery rolls and complimentary ice-cream.
When the doors opened on the first day, guests received a free Big Yellow Cup with a new reusable travel lid and straw. The next day was Philanthropy Friday, when all proceeds from the sales of potato chips at the restaurant went to support the charitable foundation of Dickey’s, which is Barbecue, Boots & Badges. This organization provides resources and funding to firefighters, law enforcement, and their families.
Over the weekend, there was live music from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday by local musician Hunter Lewis, and on the Sunday the restaurant introduced its Kids Eat Free All Day every Sunday.
According to the owner of the eatery, Danny Demarco, Lake Forest is the ideal location for new food options and now people will be able to satisfy their cravings for slow-smoked barbecue. Demarco may want to consider hiring a local Print company to Print Flyers and posters that can be used to make those in the community aware of this new restaurant.
