Rick Jameson, the principal who recently retired from Saddleback Unified School District, recently opened Dick’s Dogs in Lake Forest.
The hot dog cart is the first in California to serve Snap Dogs - hot dogs that have the word “beef” on their surface, as well as their name.
Dick’s Dogs is in the Irvine Auto Center in Lake Forest and will be open from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesdays through Fridays. Jameson said opening this cart has been his dream, after 25 years as an educator, and the unique way that the hot dogs are branded lets consumers know exactly what they are being served.
The hot dogs are cooked in a real smokehouse and made from 100% premium beef. They are served with various condiments, including the Snap Dogs’ own Pushcart-style Onion Sauce.
Keith Dorman, Founder and CEO of Snap Dogs, said that his mission has been to improve the experience of eating a hot dog. He utilizes an innovative casing technology for his hot dogs that enables graphics free of any colorings or dyes to be displayed on the hot dog’s surface.
The use of banner printing services may be one way that Jameson can promote his new entrepreneurial endeavor and bring the authentic taste of a real New York City hot dog to the West Coast.
