Healthcare campus expands in Lake Forest area

Hoag, a non-profit healthcare organization in Orange County, will be expanding its campus in Irvine, just a short drive from Lake Forest.

This expanded campus will help to address the need for world-class, comprehensive care in the area and strengthen the emergence of Hoag as a destination for high-quality service and medical excellence. Residents of nearby Lake Forest will most likely benefit from such expanded facilities.

The expansion will include six new buildings, 120,000 square feet of ambulatory facilities, eight operating rooms, 24 ICU beds, two additional rooms for procedures, and 155 inpatient beds. Also included will be state-of-the-art specialty care centers for cancer, surgical innovation, women’s and digestive health, as well as dedicated urgent and emergency care services for cancer patients. There will also be outdoor spaces for meditation and therapies that will include many healing gardens designed to create meaningful and unique experiences for patients and caregivers.

When planning exciting new expansions such as this, institutions such as Hoag may turn to brochure printing to offer more details about the upgraded facilities and services to be offered.

This expansion was made possible by a gift of $50 million from philanthropists David and Diana Sun, and a gift of $106 million from the late Audrey Steele Burnand. Construction on the first phase of the campus began last fall. The brand-new campus is expected to be open to patients sometime in 2026.
