End of year performances come to local theater

The Laguna Playhouse on Laguna Canyon Road is hosting several special performances in the upcoming weeks. Residents of nearby Lake Forest may be interested in such events.

Such theaters often turn to local Print shops to help with printed materials that promote such events throughout a region.

The first is “Sister’s Christmas Catechism” from the author of “Late Nite Catechism.” This is a holiday mystery extravaganza where Sister endeavors to uncover the mystery of the disappearance of the gold from the Magi. This is a hilarious production and told in a way that only Sister can tell it. Performances will be next week on Monday December 20 and Tuesday December 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Comedienne Rita Rudner will be presenting her “Happy, Vaccinated New Year’s Eve” at the Playhouse for the sixth annual celebration, ushering in the new year in a most entertaining way. Rudner is also a playwright, screenwriter, award-winning television personality, New York Times bestselling author, and actress and dancer. Special guest stars the Age Gap, a duo of Molly Bergman and Jason Freddy, will be joining Rudner for the evening. Attendees will raise a toast to the end of 2021, watch the ball drop on the East Coast, and welcome in 2022. This performance will be on Friday December 31 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
