Annual day of baseball to come to Lake Forest

The annual alumni game of El Toro Baseball will be held later this month at El Toro High School (ETHS) on Toledo Way in Lake Forest.

This annual game is free and open to the community. There will be baseball games, a home run derby, and raffles throughout the day. There will also be a silent auction with chances to bid on gift cards to sports activities, restaurants, sports store, and entertainment tickets, along with other attractions.

Beverages, food, memorabilia, and other items will be available for purchase, with a portion of all proceeds going to support the baseball boosters’ program at the high school.

The day will begin with a Frosh/Soph versus JV Game at 9:00 am, followed by the Home Run Derby at 11:00 am, and the Alumni versus Varsity Game at 12:30 pm. Such special and annual events and their fundraising efforts are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing.

There is a potential for appearances of notable alumni from the high school. Several players from Major League Baseball are graduates of the high school and include Matt Chapman, Austin Romine, and Nolan Arenado.

The games will be held on Saturday, January 28 at the Varsity Baseball Field. Parking will be made available at the corners of Serrano and Ridge Route.
