Acting workshops to be held near Lake Forest

The Laguna Woods Theatre Guild will be hosting several workshops in the spring. Residents of nearby Lake Forest who are interested in acting may want to attend one or all of these workshops.

Such theater companies often turn to banner printing to announce workshops to the public in a given area.

The first one will be Voice and Diction For The Stage, which is to be led by Kate Jacobs. Attendees will learn how to use inflection, and how to project and present the best of themselves when on the stage. There will be five sessions from Thursday, February 3, through Thursday, March 3, all starting at 11:00 a.m.

The next one will be Putting on a Stage Show, led by Joe Selikov and Barbara Powell. Attendees will learn about the performance of an action show from initial concept to the stage show. Topics to be covered will include directing, producing, and stage management, and how all these aspects come together to make a performance happen. There will be four sessions from Wednesday, February 16 through Wednesday, March 9, again starting at 11:00 a.m.

One session of Improv: Unscripted Adventure will be led by Kate Ullman. Attendees will play short improv games and experience interactive quick thinking and fast movement while staying in the moment. This will be held on Tuesday, March 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
