Clovis event salutes local heroes

Clovis’s veterans and first responders often carry a heavy load, but an upcoming event will help them shoulder their burden.

Railroad Park will be opening "Memorial May” with an activity that will honor heroes, both local and across the country. It will be held in the morning on its scheduled date, and it will be family friendly.

The gathering will open with a safety brief and warm welcome, and it will then be time to take to the pavement for a walk that will follow a 1.9-mile route to the Clovis Veterans Memorial District. There will be a singing of the national anthem followed by a line-up of speakers, and this will be followed by a mixer where the attendees can meet and mingle over some light refreshments. It will be a chance to show vets and first responders that their community stands behind them, and it will run for three hours.

Walks, runs and other public awareness raising events can be highly effective, and they often include the use of Banners and Signs. A banner printing company will be able to provide custom options for these in both single- and multiple-use styles.

Sunday, May 3 has been set for the date for this Clovis event. It will begin at 8:00 am, and a flyer has been prepared that provides further details.
