One of the special days planned by the City of Chino is coming up for residents to enjoy.
At various times during the year, the city teams up with local organizations to present family-friendly events that are free for everyone. City officials encourage local vendors to take part in these events, which include such celebrations as Bike Day, Bark Around Ayala Park, and the upcoming Healthy Family Day.
The city is teaming up with the Chino Valley YMCA for the family event. There is still room for additional vendors and anyone who is interested is encouraged to apply. In addition, although the activities are still being planned, some information is already available. There will be live entertainment, fitness demonstrations, and information provided about nutrition, fitness, and health. In addition, information about the environment and water will also be part of the day’s educational events.
A look back at previous years suggests some of the other activities that could take place. In the past, there have been bike rides, varying in length from 7 to 15 miles, hosted by the local police department and a cycle shop. Food has traditionally been part of the fun, along with an obstacle course and activity stations for kids. Banner printing can be used to create weather-resistant signage for outdoor events like this.
Healthy Family Day is scheduled for June 5, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Ayala Park.
