This April, Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California (PWCCSC) will be hosting a herding trail for dogs in Chino.
PWCCSC was originally founded in 1961. The organization’s central focus is on the breeding, training, and care of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The club also organizes sports and training events for dogs and their owners, such as obedience, agility, dog showing, and herding
Pembroke Welsh corgis, Cardigan Welsh corgis, and Swedish Vallhunds are the three eligible for entry in the herding trials. Each dog must be at least nine months old and officially registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
The types of livestock that present at the event for herding purposes include ducks and sheep. Entry fees for duck or sheep herding are both priced at $50 per run. Chino locals who will be registering to participate with their dogs in the event can sign up online or by traditional mail. Enclosed Checks must be payable to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California. Individuals who register for events by mail often drop by community-based Print shops in order to create Copies of digital registration Forms.
The owner of the top-scoring Pembroke will be awarded a plaque and a spot on the Sue Rucker Memorial Trophy.
The trials will begin at the Diamond Dogs k9 Events Center on Saturday, April 17 and conclude on Sunday, April 18.
