Summer is on the way, and Chino is marking the season by welcoming the public at a series of movie nights under the stars.
Everyone is invited to bring along a blanket or folding chair and head to the City Hall Lawn on Central Avenue for the Chino Summer Nights celebrations, and they will take place once a week starting in mid-June and wrapping up at the end of July. They will each feature a family-friendly movie. The July 1 instalment will offer a fireworks display, held at Robert S. Ayala Park.
Along with the movie, each of the evenings will include a vendor area as well as a food truck park. Interested vendors and food service operators are welcome to submit an application to participate, and need to do this by June 3. Admission to the festivities is free for the general public, and the curtain will go up at dusk.
The organizers of these activities explained that they have been made possible thanks to support from an assortment of community service groups and other sponsors. The Logo Design of each of these organizations and businesses is included on the city’s website.
Aside from the July 1 fireworks show, the date for these outdoor summer gatherings will be June 17 and 24, as well as July 8, 15, 22, and 29.
