Members of the Show Low Chamber of Commerce were on hand to cut a special ribbon in Show Low recently.
Chamber officials gathered in front of the new Skills Center, located on the Show Low campus of Northland Pioneer College. The center will offer programs that teach essential skills that will prepare students for jobs in local communities. The new facility, which covers 28,000 square feet and has room for up to 200 students daily, where they can learn hands-on skills in industrial, energy, welding, and automotive technology. In addition, the center is state-of-the-art, which will allow students to keep up with the latest developments in technology such as electric, hybrid, and renewable energy vehicles.
Chato Hazelbaker, President of Northland Pioneer College, spoke to the crowd that came to the ribbon cutting, thanking them for their ongoing support and contributions in the quest to create a skilled workforce to meet the needs of a changing world, and who could understand and use the latest technology. Organizations like this can use brochure printing to create Catalogs for the courses they offer.
Northland Pioneer College is a two-year, community commuter school that serves communities in northeastern Arizona, offering classes at five centers and four campuses across Apache and Navajo counties. It grants associates’ degrees, gives career and technical education and more, and was recently given permission to grant a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Early Childhood Education.
