The buildings in question consist of a total of 52 flats and are located on Causeyside Street and Orchard Street. The Plans will see the flats bought by the Housing Association so that they can be renovated, with the intention being for them to then be used as social housing. Renfrewshire Council is set to provide grants for any of the current owners who want to be involved.
This project will seek to preserve much of the look of the tenements, which are part of the town’s history, while making improvements where necessary to the appearance, back courts and corridors. In total, it is expected to cost £6.6 million to complete.
Brochure printing from Paisley Print shops is sometimes used when projects of this sort have been completed, so that they can be shown off in glossy Brochures.
Speaking to Scottish Housing News, Kathleen McCutcheon from Paisley Housing Association said:
“There is no doubt that these tenements require improvement and we are very pleased indeed to have reached agreement with Renfrewshire Council that they should be part of a Comprehensive Tenement Improvement Project.”
No date has yet been set for work on refurbishing the tenements to get underway.Get a Free Quote for Brochures Get a Free Quote for Plans Get a Free Quote for Print
