Renfrewshire Council has chosen an organisation to deliver the annual parade at Paisley Halloween Festival, and the contract could end up being long term.
Cirque Bijou will handle both the parade and the animation in the centre of town. The live performance group was awarded the contract during a meeting of the council’s customer services, resources and finance policy board. The value of it is more than £520,000, which is divided over a period of three years. The council is stating that it represents an amazing opportunity for the town.
The contract is scheduled to last until November 2027, but Renfrewshire Council has the option of a further one-year extension. It will not be the first time that Cirque Bijou has worked on the Halloween Festival though, as it has been closely involved for the past seven years.
Paisley Halloween Festival is one of the key events in the town’s calendar and the parade is its centrepiece. In 2025, over 350 community organisations and theatrical performers took part in it.
