Former St Mirren star Andy Webster took to the streets of Paisley dressed in his best tartan to promote the upcoming event with Michael Campbell, a Community Development Officer. The pair are hoping to get supporters of the club to join their team for the walk, which they have called When the Saints Go Marching In, so that they can raise cash for the club’s Charitable Foundation.
Anyone who does sign up to take part will be committing to walking a total of 1,877 miles over the course of the weekend. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s Paisley Kiltwalk will take place as a virtual event, which participants will undertake on their own.
Eye-catching Promotional Products that have been created by outlets in Paisley are often used to help publicise charitable events of this sort. Speaking to the Daily Record about the Kiltwalk, Webster stated that:
“Although we might not be able to all walk together in person, we can walk, run, skip, swim together as a virtual community and we want to get as many people involved as possible.”
The Paisley Kiltwalk weekend is scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th April.
