Park in Paisley could have pond repaired

A park in Paisley could see the edges of its pond given much-needed repairs later in the year, with the local council currently looking into what different options there are for it.

This pond is located within Durrockstock Park, but parts of the edge of it are currently on the point of collapse. Both the park and the pond are considered to be notable beauty spots in Paisley and Renfrewshire Council has now decided to look into precisely what needs to be done before having the edges repaired.

The authority is already carrying out a number of upgrades to parks throughout the borough and new equipment for children to play with was added to Durrockstock Park during the summer of 2022.

Poster printing by shops in Paisley can be useful for letting people know about new amenities such as this play equipment.

The pond is still a problem though and Stephen Burns from the council told the Daily Record that it was a matter of making it look better but also of ensuring the safety of people using the park.

He then went on to add:

“We had the new play park open last summer, which has been great, so improvements to the pond will only add to the good feeling around the park.”

The work could be carried out before the end of 2023.
