One of the most successful musicians that Paisley has ever produced is set to return to the town later in the year, to perform a special one-off concert.
Paolo Nutini was born and bred in Paisley, so this will be an emotional experience for him and for the audience. The 37-year-old singer and songwriter has enjoyed a glittering career in the music business since the launch of his debut album in 2007. That album was called These Streets and it produced hit singles like the title track and Last Request.
Nutini has followed it up with three further popular albums, Sunny Side Up, Caustic Love and Last Night in the Bittersweet. He has built a lasting career in the industry and now he will be able to celebrate that with his fans at this hometown show.
Venues that host live music concerts sometimes use giveaway Promotional Products from local shops that tie in with them, as an advertising tool. It is unlikely that there will be any difficulty in selling tickets for this show though.
There is a twist for fans who want to attend however. Over 1,000 of the tickets will be entered into a prize contest, with all of the money going to Doctors without Borders and anti-poverty charity The STAR Project.
Paolo Nutini will play at the newly reopened Paisley Town Hall on 6th August.
