Paisley is set to get a new metro link with Glasgow, after the local councils for the two locations agreed a deal to finance the Plans.
The first part of these proposals would see a link built between Gilmour Street Station in Paisley and Glasgow Airport, before this is then extended further in phase two of the project. The idea has now taken a massive step towards being realised after the leaders of Renfrewshire Council and Glasgow City Council reached an accord on the funding of it.
The next stage in the process will be to conduct a feasibility study to ensure the plans are workable, after which the green light from the full councils for both Paisley and Glasgow will have to be sought. Local councils sometimes use printers that can create Letterheads for their official Stationery.
A Renfrewshire Council spokeswoman stated that building this link was crucial in making the transport connections better for individuals and businesses in Paisley, as well as to cut journey times between the two locations.
