Paisley could get new drive-through restaurant

Paisley may be about to get a brand new drive-through restaurant, if proposals to build one on a site currently occupied by a disused pub are given the go ahead by the council.

A12 Properties has submitted a plan that would see this restaurant built on Wallneuk Road, Paisley. The Traveller’s Rest pub currently stands on this site, but it closed down over a decade ago and has been allowed to grow ever more dilapidated in the years since. The developer is hoping to knock the building down and construct the restaurant to replace it.

Logo Design services based in Paisley can help new restaurants to create memorable branding that attracts customers.

According to the Daily Record, the statement submitted by the developer as part of its proposals says that there is currently no way of connecting independent businesses on Wallneuk Road with Renfrew Road.

It then goes on to say that:

“Development of our client’s site will unlock potential for the adjacent undeveloped land and will create a more welcoming environment for all the surrounding businesses.”

Initial Plans would have seen multiple units for takeaway restaurants and shopping built at the site, but these were abandoned on the grounds of ‘over development.’

Renfrewshire Council will examine the new proposals in detail and is expected to come to a decision early in 2022.
