Line-up announced for Paisley Book Festival

With the annual Paisley Book Festival set to take place again next month, the organisers of the event have revealed details of which authors will be taking part this year.

The 2023 festival will be returning to an in-person programme, following three years as an entirely virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the notable authors who have been lined up to give readings are Tariq Ashkani, Jackie Kay, Hebridean Baker, Denise Mina, Michael Pederson and Darren McGarvey. There will also be a special programme of events for schools that are free to attend and that will see writers visit schools in the area.

Furthermore, in recognition of the fact that rising living costs are affecting everyone, adults wishing to attend the festival will be able to pay whatever they can afford for most of the 2023 programme.

Promotional Pens that are provided by shops in Paisley are one of the many ways that events in the town like this festival can be advertised ahead of time to help spark interest.

Publisher and festival organiser Heather McDaid told the Glasgow Evening Times:

“We’re happy to finally reveal the 2023 line-up for Paisley Book Festival, and we can’t wait to bring such a fantastic range of authors to Paisley, some returning, others for the first time.”

The festival will be taking place between 16th and 19th February.
