This annual pre-Christmas activity had to be rearranged as an online event last year by organisers Active Communities, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. However, this year people will once more be able to meet in public dressed in their finest festive Santa hats and baubles to take on a run of either 3k or 1k.
The former is suitable for anyone who is eight years old or over, while the latter is targeted at families. The location for the 2021 Jingle Bell Run will be Barshaw Park in Paisley and there will be a miniature railway set up there during the day for families to take a ride on, as well as festive tunes to maintain the energy levels.
Poster printing supplied by shops in the town can be a real help to the organisers of events like this, providing them with promotional Posters.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Active Communities CEO Susan McDonald said:
“We are delighted to see the return of the Jingle Bell Run after Covid prevented it last year. It’s a fabulous event that has become a tradition in many families’ Calendars.”
It will take place on December 5.
