This site is on Maxwellton Street in the town and the Half-Time School stood on it for many years. That educational facility was knocked down five years ago and the land has been lying vacant ever since. Now Westpoint Homes is keen to bring it back into use, by constructing a development that would consist of a total of 48 flats.
The company has sent an application for planning permission to Renfrewshire Council. According to the Plans that it has submitted, the block of flats would be u-shaped and the aim is to create new accommodation that is aesthetically pleasing.
Stantec is the company that is acting as agent for the application. The Daily Record is reporting that its planning statement says:
“This will provide a choice of attractive accommodation in Paisley close to local services and public transport. This residential development will reinvigorate the site with a two-block building of quality design.”
Brochure printing in Paisley with colour photographs is just one of the ways for housing developers to show off the latest homes that they have built.
The council has not yet indicated when a decision will be announced.
