Aparthotel planned for former Paisley music venue

A building in Paisley that used to be home to a music venue could become a new aparthotel, if the council approves the application to convert it.

The identity of the applicant has not yet been revealed, but CGA Design is acting as the agent for the application. The building at the centre of it is located on New Street and was formerly home to a music venue called The Cave. This popular club for live music fans in Paisley closed its doors in early autumn, due to financial problems. Now, the building could get a new lease of life.

If the application gets the go-ahead, it will be turned into an aparthotel with a total of seven units. It would be connected to the building next door, which is due to be turned into an 11-room aparthotel. The two would be connected via an internal wall.

When developers are submitting applications like this, they sometimes make use of Paisley printers that can create Letterheads. This helps to make their correspondence look more classy and professional.

According to the Renfrewshire Gazette, the planning documents state that:
“The application also proposes to make some minor alterations to the front elevation of the property with a window replacing a door opening on the front elevation and two new windows to the side gable elevation.”

A decision will be announced next year.
