Among the spooky delights will be The Dark Circus, with Cirque Bijou bringing its brand of outdoor theatre to town. As with previous years though, the centrepiece of the festival will be the Halloween Parade, which will see over 300 floats, jugglers, fire performers, acrobats and local people clad in costume march through the streets.
Another highlight of the two-day festival will be the performance by All or Nothing; a troupe of aerial acrobats who will be doing a show entitled ‘Into the Dark’ above Paisley Abbey. As ever, the festival is entirely free to attend and local printers who offer banner printing often find themselves called on to make themed Banners for festivals.
Those who want to dance away the Halloween darkness will enjoy the silent disco, which is a new addition to the line-up, while the pumpkin carving and craft workshops are ideal for families. Local councillor Louisa Mahon told the Daily Record:
“The festival has grown larger each year and this year will see our most ambitious and creative production yet as the entire town will become a circus stage, for professional and community performers to enthral the crowds.”
