Fun Run and 10k returning to Paisley

Two very popular summer running events are set to take place again this year in Paisley, in the shape of the annual Fun Run and the Paisley 10k.

Each year, thousands of people who live within the town and wider area hit the streets to participate in one of these events. The reasons why people enter the races range from trying to raise money for charity to working on personal fitness goals, or just seeking a fun family activity.

Last year, the number of people who turned up set a new record, and the organisers OneRen hope to better it in 2024.

The 10k is the more serious run of the two. It is one for people who are in reasonably good shape to take part in. Poster printing by Paisley shops can be a useful promotional tool for events like this race.

By contrast, the Fun Run is more relaxed, and is suitable for people of any age and level of fitness. 31-year-old Angela Hamilton entered it last year and told a local source that:
“The event allowed me to take part in the Fun Run with my daughter in the pram, so it meant that I wasn’t having to miss out and I was able to just take her along with me.”

These events are scheduled to be held on 18 August.
