The Hub, a company that specialises in work of this kind, was chosen after a process that saw several companies submit bids. Now this firm will be working alongside Paisley Museum Reimagined on the job of transforming the landmark building. The first stage of that will see designs for the various displays planned for the space created, before the actual installation work begins at Paisley Museum in the spring of next year.
Since it was founded 17 years ago, The Hub has built up a reputation for designing and constructing museum displays – both permanent and temporary. The company has announced that it wants to get residents of Paisley involved during the ideas stage.
Local businesses can also help with this sort of task – particularly graphic design shops in Paisley, which can produce images showing what future exhibitions will look like.
Paisley Museum Reimagined project director Kirsty Devine told Scottish Construction Now:
“The contract represents a critical milestone in the delivery phase of the project, and we are excited to see the displays being built and installed after all the research and development work over the past five years.”
The work is due to be finished by November 2023.
