Basketballpaisley is an amateur club dedicated to the sport. Its members want to create a venue that will be known as the ‘Saints Skills Vault’ and have found a suitable disused building on Clark Street in Paisley. Extensive renovations will be needed before it is fit to use though, as both the walls and the floors require work to be done on them.
The aim of the appeal is to get tradespeople in the town interested in helping with this goal. Flyer printing from outlets in Paisley can help local sports clubs like this one to raise awareness of campaigns that they are mounting.
Speaking to the Gazette, the club’s lead coach and secretary Rebecca Cleary said:
“We currently work out of The Lagoon, as well as the ON-X sports centre and some local schools, however, we have always wanted our own home and base.“
Cleary added that the chosen site would be ideal, but its current condition meant that basketball games could not be played there at the moment.
The club decided to look for a new home after costs at its current ones went up and to help boost its membership.Get a Free Quote for Plans
