Holmes Miller is the firm that will create the designs for this project, which will see the interiors of the historic 19th century hall revamped to make it into a venue more suited to the needs of the town – ensuring its long-term future. The work is expected to cost £22 million and will see the hall closed for a two-year period.
The revamp of Paisley Town Hall is one part of a broader £100 million investment that Renfrewshire Council is making across the region and Holmes Miller has stated that its designs will showcase ways in which it can be used for different events.
The firm has also indicated that the designs will explore the potential for enhancing its facilities for live performance and ways in which the experience of visitors can be improved. Speaking to Project Scotland, Iain Marley from hub West Scotland said:
“The redevelopment of Paisley Town Hall will transform this well known and important heritage asset and create a vibrant new destination for the community.”
