In Alexandria, the local secondary school, Vale of Leven Academy recently held a very successful Careers Fair for its pupils. At the Fair were a number of not just employers, but also organisations such as further education (universities and colleges) as well as the Police! The Fair had some talks about various sectors and opportunities within them.
The Fair evening was designed to help pupils make better informed decisions about subject choices, in order to help them make choices that will be suitable for whatever future career they choose, be it an apprenticeship, further education or the wider world of work.
Careers fairs provide pupils with the chance to meet employers face-to-face, to learn about vacancies and opportunities available, and the chance to market themselves to prospective employers.
Also on hand was advice on how to complete a CV in a way that will be attractive to potential employers.
Companies and organisations attending Careers Fair like this one in the Vale of Leven Academy, should use local printers to produce informative leaflets about their organisation as well as having attractive Posters to bring the pupils to their stalls.Get a Free Quote for Posters
